It's pretty cool that you attribute Herb to teaching you how to love your wife and Ken and I often think of little things we've learned from you on how Ken shows his love for me. That's so great.
I also loved the video. Check it out, Herb was leading the guys as they sang to him. Maybe he's now leading the angle choirs. That was beautiful.

Love you,
Yvonne

THAT WAS TRULY FUN. I'M JUST THANKFUL TO HAVE MET THAT GOOFIE GUY AT SCHOOL WHOSE UNCLE IT WAS THAT MADE FUN OF THE WAY I SAID…..SPIDERS. BUT SERIOUSLY, WHAT I'M REALLY THANKFUL FOR IS THAT YOUR DAD WAS OBEDIENT TO THE LORD AND USED HIS GOD-GIVEN GIFTS SO WONDERFULLY AND SIMPLY, MAKING THE "GOOD NEWS" SO PLAIN, I BECAME A CHILD OF GOD AND WAS BROUGHT INTO THE FOLD. HERB WAS A VITAL ANCHOR IN MY LIFE. I ENJOYED SEEING THE SWEET, SWEET FACE OF HIM IN THE LAST PICTURE TAKEN OF HIM. WHAT JOY HE SHOWED.

I am so thankful he was in my life…as role model, boss and trusted friend. He exemplified Godly humility, integrity and strength. Can't wait to see him again.

I had forgotten about Herb being a painter (Paynter). That was what he did when I first met them. It was nice remembering things connected with them…like the "Recard". I enjoyed the whole blog.

I was sitting with Lynne Bryan the last time he directed our music service and we both noticed and commented the he was not feeling well and about that time Lee took him out. That day was was special I will never forget what a great music service we had. I have never enjoyed congregational music as much as the ones that Herb led. He had a real gift with that. I have been in a lot of music programs through the years, but I haven't been in any other congregation with a directer that had his gift. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I loved him so very much. He was such a sweet, humble man who had a heart for the lost like no one else. I am so thankful to have been there on the final day of the 2002 reunion to see him leading the singing! How wonderful to have that precious video of him attempting to lead the singing … from his hospital bed … praising the Lord as he is about to be welcomed into His presence! An awesome time. I miss you Uncle Herb … can't wait to see you again soon!!
